 East Harlem International Festival invited us to screen our B Girl film project and we were in the house!! Thanks to Peaches Rodrigues and Alexandra Garcia for helping us to make the connection and for being the wonderful allies that they are year round!

Melissa Ulto who designed this website and is available for media services(multostars@gmail.com) and did the bulk of the editing for the film was present and articulate during the discussion following the screening about the process of film making in a male dominated field. Thank you to our donors and Corinne Manabat for her services in times of urgent deadlines!! Violet and Bongo Roc both shared their experiences and ideas about life as a woman and mother in Hip-hop. Thank you to the Museum of the City of New York.

We also wanted to thank New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Hip-hop Dance Conservatory for their continuous support of our film project during their summer programs.

The film has been screened in its entirety at The Rosedale Girls Achievement Center located in the Bronx in July followed by four dance classes with Rokafella.

  We will  screen ATLS  at Northerastern University in Chicago at the end of September –Lady Champ landia!! Aiko will be in the house as well..!!

Casita Maria will also schedule a screening in their center in the Hunstpoint area of the Bronx.

About

“All The Ladies Say” is a film that highlights the lives of six iconic female street dancers from San Jose, Atlanta, Miami and Chicago, who have carved a niche in the physically challenging, male dominated breakdance world. Discussions about motherhood, sexual tension, femininity versus masculinity and the rap industry/mainstream images are a few of the themes explored by the documentary’s main characters. International dancers not only make appearances but also add their two cents about life as a B Girl in the Hip-hop world.
